Just got my moose silenced under warrantee. Informed that Ford has extended the time to 4 / 50,000 on the IACV. I just got it fixed free. As part of emissions control it falls under very tight Fed laws requiring fix for faulty by the manufacturer. I think this varies greatly state to state; might be worth a check.

that's the IAT - Intake Air Temperature Sensor.

IACV is Idle Air Control Valve.
