I saw these APC brand direct replacement tail light bulbs @ Autozone today. They replace the standard 3157 waffle type bulb. THEY SUCK!!!!!!!! They are about 50% dimmer and they only light the area around the bulb. So you get a nickel sized area of light. Also since they are lower amperage the flasher thinks that you have a bulb out and they flash really fast. IMO don't waste your $15 buy some Mobil 1 instead.

Common knowledge here. Been posted many times. Bulbs aren't meant for factory red housings.

APC white bulbs would still be dim, and not make your blinker flash faster. they are made for euros, etc.

APC stuff is total rice man. The town i live in there is alot of cars running around with giant APC stickers on the front windsheild. They are on civics mostly. When i see them i just want to spit.

The problem w/ led bulbs is that they shine the light forward. Our lights utilize a reflector so if the light is shining forward (out)it's not bouncing off the reflector to intensify the light, hence why you only got a small area lit up. Now if the led's were white and facing in towards the reflector instead of out then it might actually work.

I tried some LED bulbs once. They just blinked fast like a bulb was burned out. I think if you rigged up a resistor or something like that it might work.

there is something you can buy to make them not blink fast, but they'll still be dim.
