But without that $200, all I have is a headunit and some fun lovin' factory speakers that I just want to kick.

In my opinion, i'd screw the rear speakers. Just buy a pair for the front. I'd then save up just a bit more and buy a sub and a 4 channel amp. You'd just need to spend a bit more. Also, i'm making my kickpanels this week. If i got a chance, i'll take pictures on how to remove the door panels and all. I know someone already has done it, but just incase kinda thing.

ill second that. rear speakers are for sissies. (and passengers.) get some components up front. then if youre still not satisfied, get a 4ch amp and sub.
now officially a troll, i guess. used to have a black 96 SE, until it broke down one too many times.
now I'm hunting for a motorycle.

If you could take pictures of how to remove the door panels, that would be awsome. I could use all the help I can find.

instead of replacing your stock system why not just add to it
throw some 6x9s by the rear window

I'd have to disagree with this statement. More speakers doesn't automatically mean better sound. Check this thread for an example of what adding speakers will do. IMO, components up front run off an external amp with a sub in the truck is the recipe for the best tunes. I'd only add rear speakers (deck or doors) if the rear seat was used frequently or there is a lack of a dedicated sub.

I agree with you cthomp21 the more speakers you have, the more cross cancelation you have, which is bad. I only have 3 way components in the front of my car and a 15" sub in the trunk.
