Yes, the stock pre-98's can be cleared. I spoke w/ a guy on here who (and for the life of me I can't remember his screen name) was able to get the orange reflector out. It involves seperating the lens from the housing and then either using heat to pop it out or dremeling it out. But yes, it can be done. I think i'm going to play w/ it this afternoon and see what I can mess up. LOL

Midnight has done it. He said the lense just fell off while he was working on his front bumper. I'm sure if you're very careful you can put them in an oven and Seperate the lense then dremel out the orange reflector. Here's info on doing the Mondeo corners.

i covered the whole corner in silver vinyl...then i cut out a small flame...i get alot of compliments on it...i will try to get a pic on here...but i dont really know how

Let me know how those turn out. If it works out well I'll be doing this mod.

i gotta get some new corners anyways, soon when i hit junk yard, i'll try on the old ones and see how it turns out.

i just started to dremel the lenses today, its slow and i'm not to sure how well it will turn out, midknight says its a five foot mod, basically it looks good from five feet but up close you can see the scuff marks, ill press on though

Well, guess what... this isn't going to work. I had a hard enough time getting the lense off that I don't even want to attempt to do the other one for fear of it breaking, the damn thing is glued on too good. So until I have some spares (just in case) I'm leaving them as is.

did u try baking them?

I tried baking one earler but i got scared because it was getting really soft and i didn't want to ruin it because the reflective stuff on the inside was starting to discolor. it could vent through the empty light opening and i even left the oven door cracked. I'll try something again when i have a couple of spairs. oh and i have pics for ya, i just haven't uploaded them yet.

lets see them man. i think i want to try this too maybe.
