i have read before that gutting the gats can produce results that are comporable to purchasing MSDS headers (if you get a high flow Y-pipe too)my question is this- i wouldn't be able to do the work myself, so can anyone give me a general idea as to the cost of having the cats "gutted" (i'm assuming this means removed....is that correct?). has anyone done this and had before and after dyno results?thanks

I don't want to sound like a jerk, but for some of us who haven't been with CEG for a long time, it's hard to search the old archives sometimes. I'm sure in the few years the CEG forums have been up and running every single topic has been discussed. If you don't want to help with a question, don't help. Instead of saying "this topic has been discussed, search for it in the archives," you could maybe give a link to the info needed.
Just my 2 cents.

Thanks,
SVTcoop

hey.
you don't even need to look that far. look up and down the Duratec Forum and you will find 2 threads already goin about this! it's a waste of bandwith/storage, to have the same topic discussed with a different person.

enjoy.

Cost = $0.00 if you have all the tools. It's illegal to do it, so no shop would touch it.

I was just suggesting that he asked a question, and should you know the right information, could be answered in less than 2 seconds. Where, on the other hand, it may take someone 20 minutes to find out exactly what they are looking for. I am not asking anyone to do anything they don't want to do. If you can help, than help. If not, than don't waste your time.

sorry to cause a stink,
SVTcoop

Pics are in the Archived Forums. Do a Archive Search for Mystery Mod or gut precats, and you should find it easy.
