Forgive me, I have several years on the mailing list, but not much time over here. Figured I would try here with my question since everyone has moved over here now.

My wife's 98 SE Sport (V6 ATX) has developed a wierd problem I did not see in the FAQs.

While driving it will suddenly not respond to the gas pedal. You press, it does nothing. The tach doesn't move, the engine does nothing... It's like you did nothing. This typically is noticed when you go to accelerate, like off a corner or away from a stop light.

I can not isolate the problem. No CELs, nothing obviously amiss.

Any suggestions for what to look at?

Ford cannot build a car like this (1966 tbird) today because the US government says it is not safe. It has no crumple zones, air bags, or other safety features such as what you'll find in say, a new Toyota. But hit a Toyota with one of these and see who loses!
