With the pre-cats gutted on the svt, i know that taking the battery cable off for a few minutes clears the cel. The question i have, is that when you do this, does it also clear out the error code bank in the onboard computer. Because i have to get it inspected, and it would not be cool if the codes remained there even after the battery cables were removed and then put back on. Thanks for any help, since i know this is a pretty simple question for all you contour geniuses out there.....

Removing the power from the PCM and OBD memory will cause all the codes to be cleared. If there is still a problem, new codes will be generated when the car is driven again.
