In order to fit my bigass sub box, i need to get it in through the inside of the car. In order to do this, i need to take the top part of the rear seats out. It looks like 4 torx screws on a hinge that is easy to get off. I got a 3/16" allen wrench and started prying. It would not budge at all. So i guess my question is, how do you remove the rear seats (or just the top portion) of an SVT that has fold down seats ? Anything special I need or have to do ? Thanks a lot, im planning on doing this tomorrow. I messed up the box measurements and now this is my only choice.

If it's that big, good luck getting it through the rear door! Other than that, I can't help you.

heh ive already gotten it through the rear door, its like 1 inch away from fitting perfectly. The box is like around 5 cubes but it will fit when the seats are off I believe.

Fold down teh rear seats and on each side of the portion that folds there is 4 screws. unscrew tehm and the portion just pulls out. To get the bottom part of the seat off just lift it and it will pop up. If you have any trouble jsut send me a PM.

Ok cool so it is just the screws. I started prying at them last night and it was too tough. Do you know any good ways to get those unscrewed ?

Go to Sears/Home Depot/Lowes/Ace and buy a torx bit that matches those screws and take them out. May as well get a whole set of those bits because so much of the interior is torx screws.

It would be a torx size T-40 for the rear hinge screws. Then,if you need, the bench seat will pull off by popping the front of the bench up then slide it forward to remove the complete seat units.
