Hey All,

I was wondering if anyone had some good tips on keeping the power antenna from sticking when it is cold out? This only happens when in temps under freezing. It goes up fine, but when retracting, it goes down only 2 sections and stops. This probably can't be good for the power antenna motor, but haven't blown any fuses yet.

I have sprayed lithium grease on a rag and coated the whole mast with it. This sloves the problem but only lasts untill the first rain. Anyone have any ideas on a better lube to use or any other tips?

Thanks to all,
Raioactive

Do you listen to the radio ?? I was having the same problem as you but as I don't listen to the radio, I just disconnected the power to the motor. Problem solved.

Thanks for the info. I do listen to the radio so maybe I will just disconnect the power feed into the antenna while the antenna is up. At least for the winter.
