Simply a gearing choice. I'm betting they do use the MTX-75, and simply don't bother changing the gearing. And w/ the car so much lighter than a contour, the durability concerns are probably much less as well. As far as how quick, a 4.2 sec. 0-60 is nothing to sneeze at, in fact, there are only a handful of cars in the world that can better that by any significant amount, and I would be willing to bet not a one of them can be had for less than $100k Balance is the Key. rarasvt@comcast.net
