Hello,

I purchased a 1998 Ford Contour SE V6 this summer.

Normally, I should have put 205-60-15 snow tires. However, having been forced to put 185-65-14 size snow tires on my Contour, I would like to know what the possible consequences are on

1) Driving Security
2) Road Handling of the car.

Thank you for your prompt reply to my inquiry.

Probably go thru the snow better (185 having a narrower profile) with more bump absorption (65 vs 60 series).

You'll be able to feel the tires flex a lot more in cornering, and you'll probably find yourself slowing down a lot more for corners.

But for winter...sounds like a smart choice actually...Unless you're a moron who wants to run KDs in the winter...
