Ok by the Ac knobs I am trying to change the glow of the letters and pics to a blue. I have got it all apart and found out that replacing the bulbs with blue leds will not help. I was told to scrape the green off the back of the black piece and repaint it with a light blue. I got the black piec off but it is still connected to the plastic backing piece. IT is glued or something. How do I seperate them pieces without destroying anything. I was told to boil em or use a blow dryer to them. Is this correct and which method is safer/better? Thx for time and help.

I got mine out, but I did not notive a screw, on a +98 contour there are 4 screws to get that panel off, probably similar for the others. All of the screws are on the bottom area, I had to remove the front most part of the center console to get to two of them. I hope that this helps, now I am off to the dealership to order the part I broke
