Ok, I was messing around with my system 2 nightsago, a buddy of mine just got a new amp, so we connected it to my subs, and it sounded great. Well yesterday I was driving and the ignition cut out, the car didn't die, i just lost the tach and all my power inside the car. I had the power wire and the remote turn on lead loose in my trunk, my buddy was supposed to tape em up, but he forgot. I'm thinkin one of those wires touched some metal or something and caused a short? The weird thing is that if I touch the power to the remote turn on lead, I get ignition, then I can turn the key and start it. Is this a blown fuse? Or a problem in the ignition line somewhere? Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated. I need my car by monday, so this is kind of urgent. Thanks guys!

Sounds like mabye a short somewhere. Check all your wiring for the remote turn on, from start to finish.

Check the ignition fuse or line. It is a possibility that the ignition fuse is blown and the ignition is drawing power from the battery through the remote turn on for the stereo. I just bought an SVT and have yet to get the shop manual or work on the electrical so I can't verify this theory.
