I recently did an oil change and went to go clean my KKM at the same time. I cleaned it, and reoiled it with an aftermarket cleaning kit and the day after when I was driving to school, the car sounded noticably louder as if a muffler had fallen off the car under heavier acceleration. If I redline it to around 6,000 rpm, when the ATX shifts, there is a popping noise almost like a backfire. I checked underneath the car for an exhaust leak but nothing seems to be loose or have any holes in it. I removed the KKM and reinstalled the stock airbox and the popping is a little quieter but is still there. Is there anything that could be causing this? Thanks in advance.
