Who makes the best aftermarket seats at a reasonable cost? I'm only looking to replace the driver's seat, and only because the bolsters on my stock ones are broken. I want the same if not better huge side support, recliner is a must also.

Corbeau seems to be the best quality and a decent price.

I would stay away from an brand other than Recaro, Sparco, OMP, Cobra or Corbeau. Mainly for safety reasons. In an accident your seat plays a big role in protecting you. I'd only feel comfortable having a seat that has been tested in accidents. Not one that is meant to make some ricer's car look cool.

I like this - http://www.recaro-seats.com/recaro_srd.htm $450 and I think it includes the bracket.

HEY! That's my site!

Although I am slightly biased Bicycle019 is VERY correct in that the seating system plays an important role in protecting you in a crash. Things like dual reclining mechanisms, double locking sliders, and proper mounting are all major factors in how well you will fair. Many of the better seats (Recaro, Sparco, Cobra and possibly Momo) use the Kempler-Recaro infinite adjust mechanism (although most forget to mention the Recaro part of Kempler-Recaro) which is a quality piece and pretty much the industry standard. Recaro and Sparco also use double locking sliders. I'm not sure about the others but this is also something you should consider.

When we were at SEMA earlier this month I was completely amazed at the junk that is flooding the market. When you can grab the top of a seat and there is 4-5" of play how do you think that seat will fair in an accident? Probably not that well....

Anyway, if you are interested in an aftermarket seat give us a call and we'll see what we can do. We have done a few Contours and their pictures are in the seat gallery. If you want a VERY supportive seat at a great price the SRD for $450 is impossible to beat. Brackets are not included and would cost another $150 per seat for the sliders and floor bracket. Although $600 per seat complete may seem step you are getting top quality stuff that you can move from vehicle to vehicle.

Let us know if you have any additional questions regarding seats and we'll be more than happy to help out where we can.

Mark-Is your Tiger a late MK1A or a MK2.I've owned The same Tiger for the last 26 years. Tigers are fairly common in my area and our total social life revolves around Tigers and their owners. Alex
