I was taking a look at some concept vehicles today and it seems to me that the size wheels being put on new cars coming out for 2003 and 2004 seem to be getting bigger and bigger. Years back, you would see a concept car at an auto show with extemely nice wheels and by the time it hits the showroom they have downgraded to 15 inchers and plastic hub caps with no option for larger wheel upgrades. Sure you could go out and buy your own, but it's really nice being able to get the options you want from the dealership. It seems to just be a tease at the auto show to get you interested. For example, i remember seeing the PT Cruiser at an auto show with a very nice set of 18" "factory rims", but the rims that chrysler chose to put on it do the car absolutely no justice. But now, with the a larger portion of car buyers looking for performance the auto industry is finally listening. Hell, the new Dodge RAM SRT is set to be equipped with 24" rims!!! Of course this will cost plenty extra, but it's nice to know they are finally listening to the consumer. Just some thoughts....

Cheers
