Has anyone in the Berkley MA area had any luck replacing driver side mirror glass. All in need is the glass!!

i think you can only replace the whole unit.....
or so was the case with my 1996 Contour SE with the heated/power side mirrors. I asked for just the glass and they said "no go".

I put the mirror in with no problems. Used some silicone I had around the house and 4 spring clamps.
