There is trunk spring, in case you ahve a trunk that doesn't pop open right away when using the interior release latch.

Can you pass along what it costs? If you know and don't mind.

when you say "pop open" do you mean all the way or just a bit such that you can pull it open.

i've had probs with my trunk from day one. mostly it's just hard to open and easy to shut. like someone put the struts in "backwards" as if that were possible.

i just got two new struts from fordparts.com
gonna put them in this holiday weekend.

but, my trunk isn't supposed to open all the way when i pop it is it?

How easy is it to install? I figure this would be cheaper then trying new struts, so I'll get this first.

In my case, when I pull the lever in the car, or turn the key to open the trunk, the latch releases, but the lid doen't pop up any, so when I release the lever or key, it just locks back. I have to turn the key and lift up on the lid at the same time to get it open. It didn't used to be this way when it was new, but has been for at least a year now on my car.

umm, my lever unlocks it, but i have to pull trunk lid up to get it open (is there supposed to be a popper to make it pop up?, or was that optional?).
