what is the best setup for installing a 3.0? 3.0 liter heads or SVT heads? Which makes more horsepower?

Ralph, you'll need to do some reading up on the subject as this has been hashed out several times before. For the most part though, use 3L heads if you want boost, use the 2.5 heads (either modified with larger valves or stock) for NA applications...

Planning on doing it. I have no money to get that started right now, still need to work out some bugs with the 3L.

RTStabler is doing N20 & 3L as well.

That would be my choice as well. 11.5:1 CR, ported big valve heads and just enough juice to pop off 12's.

What do you think would be a safe size shot to run say on my car. hybrid with 3l valves..??

2.5 heads with 3L valves would need some extra chamber work. You have to eliminate all of the sharp edges and reshape the combustion chamber, especially if you remove the secondaries... N2O likes high compression, but it also likes to eat off sharp edges of soft aluminum heads... Just make sure whoever does your heads knows that you'll be running juice to be sure they remove all of the bad stuff...
