I was just under the front end of my 2000 SVT and for some reason gave the sway bar a tug - it moved side-to-side probably an inch!

Is this normal or a new project?

If a new project, any suggestions?

Thanks much,

Ken in FL

No, it is not supposed to slide. Sounds like one or both of the stops have come off or came loose. I remember seeing this problem discussed earlier. You should search for it. I seem to remember someone using some rubber hose and hose clamps to make improvised stops. The stops should be on the sway bar on the outboard side of the bushings on each side of the car.

P.S.
If you are still under warranty (and trust your local service dept.), they should repair @ no cost.

Thanks Randy, stops are still there. I guess they're loose. Maybe I can hammer them over? Otherwise maybe I can get hose and clamps on inboard side.

Thanks again,
