My manual is a litttle vauge on how to remove the knob from the headlight switch prior to pulling the switch. I have popped off the part of the knob taht turns but it seems there is more below that has to come off.
Bil lD.
PS this is because I weant to change to a foglight able switch. I am hoping to get one from a Tarus to fit?

i think you'll have to take the trim panel off that covers the steering shaft (below the steering column). That's 4 bolts...
Then 2 screws to get the panel that the switch is attached to off.
From there you can remove the switch (attached by 3 phillip screws.).

These are instructions off my '99 SVT. Good luck.

Works for both the Tour and Mystique. I think the socket for the bolts is a 7 mil if I remember right.
