I have a problem; I have two SVT contours, both of which are non-roadable.

One is missing body panels, while one has a bad engine.

Would anyone in the OKC area want to help me do a swap a swap? From one car to the other?

I think it would be great. Could probably manage to get us a few beers too.

So who's in?

Hey, I've seen you around here before. Where are you at in OKC? I'm in Moore myself. I'd be up to help ya sometime. Gimme a shout whenever you feel inclined to start tearing into stuff. I'll see what I can do about getting all the others around here involved too.

Yeah, I have been busy arranging for the car I bought off ebay to make its way here...

what I really need is help on taking out my good engine, taking out the bad engine, and then swapping them. I don't have the faintest idea on how to do this

Rich:

Welllllllllll...

one is wrecked. Not sure if you've seen it

www.scoriox.com/car

and the other I bought off ebay (paid high, but i have other plans;see below) with a bad engine.

The plan is to install my good engine in the good car with the bad engine, and put the bad engine in the bad car, and stow it away to become a track car.

the car off ebay is like the twin to mine. Black, same mileages. Even the VINs are similar. its eerie.

So I will only be parting out things that I take out when I convert it to track; interior mostly. Midnight blue won't match your tan will it

I could really use people that have experience/tools/ (i would LOVE to have a shop) that we could quickly, easily, and correctly do the transplant.

Any takers? beer is on me...

Wouldn't swapping the body panels be easier than swapping an engine? Just something to grow on...Oh, and if that wrecked one came with SVT wheels, PM me...I want...

Oooooh, swapping engines... fuuuuuunnnn... Done it once in my life time. Definately an all day task. Never done it on a contour before though. But I think there's enough of us that we could definately get it done. My neighbor has a big shop, but it's all stuffed w/ boxes and junk. I know another guy w/ a shop for working on cars, but he lives waaaay out almost to Cogar. Umm, yeah... So at least there's a few interested in helping ya if you're willing to let us.
