While I was away in Orange county the last few weeks, my dad was using my car. The check engine light would come on intermittently. I had a friend come by with his scanner and he came up with 2 codes.

P1131- Lack of H02S11 switches-sensor indicates lean
P0133- 02 Sensor circuit slow response (Bank 1 Sensor 1)

This doesn't seem to affect the operation of the car. Can anybody tell me what's going on? It sounds like an O2 sensor problem. The car has 83,400km and is a '97 V-6 5-spd. My dad drove about 2000km and the light would come on and go off periodically. Is this something I should remedy quickly, or is this something I can live with for a while?
Thanks gang!

See the following post for info on P1131:

See the following post for info on P0133:

If you run a search on the boards and archives, you will probably find a lot more...

Hope this helps.

That helps a great deal!! I'll go through the list of items and check it out. Wouldn't it be funny if it was just as simple as an air filter?!?
