So my Trans Mount bolt has sheared. I've read in the archives where some have said to replace it with a Grade 8 bolt.

Does anyone know what size?

And how hard is it to replace...seems kinda tight in there! Any tricks?

i had the same thing happen recently. the best way is to support the tranny remove the whole mount from tranny and frame rail. the bolt is sealed in the mount with tread lock sealant but a good pair of vise grips will remove the broken shaft. replace with bolt and thread sealant reinstall mount. i bought a spare bolt and if i can remember were i put it ill get the size for ya.

The mount bolts are Grade 10. A step above Grade 8.

Hey guys!

Thanks for the help....That bolt size would be great if you can find the size.

Thanks again

Sorry, thats incorrect, a metric 8.8 bolt is the same,
or equivilent to a grade 5 sae bolt, and the "10" is
equivilent to a grade 8 sae...

Can anyone help out with the Bolt specs?

I'm going to try and fix it this weekend! But I still don't have a clue as to the dimensions of the replacement bolt other than grade 8.

Help Please
