i would like everyone to reply that knows the answer even if its been said. WHERE DO YOU SPLICE THE RPM WIRE INTO BEHIND THE TACH.? i tryed the white wire with the black stripe in located in the middle of the tach harness and the shiftlight comes on before the tach. reachs the dial set rpm. and yes i did cut the loop to calibrate it for v6 PLEASE HELP

you have the right wire. the tach is notoriously slow. unless it's coming on way early, your shift light is probably right. you can hook it up to a scan tool to double-check.

do you think its not working right because i spliced the accessory ignition wire and the ground off the stereo's wires instead of the fuse box?

I did that too, mine worked fine.
