My driverside rear turn signal stopped working last weeek for about an hour and then worked again. Two days ago it stopped again and hasn't worked since.
I have checked the bulb and it looks fine.
Is there a fuse or flasher box that needs to be changed?
I don't have an owners manual to look at.

Can someone help?

Thanx in advance.

Most likely the bulb is bad, but here are some possible things to check first (if you haven't already):

1. If the other signals work, then the fuse and the flasher are still good.
2. When you put the left blinker on does it click really fast? If so, this is def. a bad bulb.
3. Try switching the driverside rear bulb with the passenger side rear bulb and see if the problem is reversed.
4. Check the contacts between the bulb and the sockett and clean if neccessary.

Hope this helps.

one thing i learned the hard way....

there is a culprit with the rear lights in general that you might not think about....the turn signal relay in the steering column....

my brake lights stopped working, but my 3rd brake light worked fine...turn signals and "night" lights worked as well....the relay was stuck....works fine now....dont know if it is possible that it could do that too, but it might help so here you go!

my brake lights just stopped working. the third light works, and the "night" lights and turn signals still work, just like you described. how did you fix it? thanks!

i had a similar problem yesterday when i went to put some
APC bulbs in for the turn signals. i ended up with 4 blown fuses 2 in the engine compartment and 2 under the steering wheel compartment. my turn signals didn't work until the fuse for the backup lights or the brake lights was replaced. another thing that happened with all of these blown fuses was that i couldn't get my car out of park(the little button on the shifter that your thumb has to push, well it wouldn't push in). after replacing all of the fuses everything is working once again(i hope!).
