Has anyone made there own custom cold air, i have the cta intake and i want to take some alumining ducting pipe from inside the wheelwell to the cone, but the intake resanator is in the way, has anyone tried this? tips, info, anything.....

You shoulda oughta thrown away that wheelwell plumbing before you even bought the CTA. Get it out. (But save your old intake parts if you're in a state like California that wants to see stock parts to pass smog inspection.)

yes people on here have made their own CAIs, mine is pvc,abs,APC,rubber intake. it would be very easy to run piping from front of car through wheel well (as soon as you get that resonator outta there),, people have done this(sosaudio ((richard))) being one of them.

im guessing i use a drememl to remove the intake resanotor, or what? what else could i use since i dont have a dremel

so you did it? dremel is only for pre98 resonators in engine bay, otherwise one in fender well is just some torx screws.

I was trying to tell you a couple of hours ago that the wheelwell resonator stuff only needs a torx bit, but the forum crashed, and now you went and dremeled something...

it only crashed for a couple of minutes... the screws can be hard to get out though (too tight or hard to get to) but it's worth it.

yes, i used a torque wrench, i ransome aluminum ducting from uder the car and gta little scoop on the end of it, its similar to a fune but flattened, i got it at homedepot for like 8 bucks, the ducting was 5 and the scoop 3. the intake has alot crisper sound to it now, thanks for all you help guys
