OP tour96wnb CEG\'er T Joined: Oct 2002 Posts: 61 oneonta ny	can somebody please tell me were to find the key code on a 96 se, ford cant look it up by the vin, says anything 98 and older are phased out 96 se with svt ground effects and pre 98 svt front bumper, optimized tb, svt maf w/svt intake, daul exhaust, with no main cat,resonator, svt gauges and short shifter,reverse lockout removed,e1 svt rims

Big Jim_dup1 Hard-core CEG'er B Joined: Sep 2000 Posts: 4,693 Thousand Oaks, California, USA	The data base for key codes goes back to 96. Since 96 was the first year, it is a little spotty. My experience has been that you can usually get a key code for a 96. Sometimes the selling dealer records the key code and if they did, you may be able to call them for it. Other than that, the only other way is to have a locksmith make a key from scratch. The dealer probably will require proof of ownership before giving you a key code.
