I believe the new Mondeo is 5 lug!

Andy W. The problem with America is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

Digging up an old post.

I'm in the same boat. I can get a really good deal on some BMW M3 18" wheels, but of course there 5 lug. Just out of curiousity how much does it cost to change it or get adaptors?

It depends. I think an 8" wheel fits with the right offset, but I don't know how big those are. What is the offset on them? If it's off in the right direction, you could use an adapter to bolt on the BMW wheels, but it would need to have just the right offset - unlikely. You said you could get a great deal on them, so I'm assuming this is about cool wheels at a great price: it would be cheaper/easier to get 4x108 wheels than mess with this, unless the offset is just right. If it is, then you could probably use an adapter to put them on. Get all the numbers and post again - you might be lucky!

i was kicking around the idea of filling the holes in the hubs and having them re-drilled for a 5-lug........

iirc those m3 wheels are 18x9 in the rear and 18x8 in the front. even if you didnt need adapters those wheels would rub. then, adapters take up even more muchly-needed space. i have really only seen this work, successfully, with trucks.

ive heard there are m3 wheel knock offs which you could maybe find in a blank wheel, to have drilled. i would advise that over adapters or fill and drill.
