Okay, I am tooling down some backroads in Arkansas (Ozark Mnts), come across a deserted stretch between to hills, and romp on her. I lift off at 125 or so, and throw a CEL about 15 seconds later. I am sure it is just a matter of resetting the 'puter, as I have done this numerous times and have had no recurrances of the light... but it got me to thinking abou the silly thing.
Seeing as how this is the computer era and all, I felt compelled to come up with an applicable acronym for the light(CEL just doesn't cut it
I called it a FRAUD light. Which, in my case, stands for Ford's Random, Annoying, Unpredictable Denoter. However, were I to take this to a dealership for evaluation, it would suddenly morph into the more evil version... Fund Rancid And Underhanded Dealerships.
Don't let your FRAUD light become a FRAUD fight. Reset your computer before paying to have these silly things diagnosed.
