Check for the fuse below the coil pack. There is a harness duct running along side the engine and the hot lead to the alternator is attached to the side of it. Watch out for the exposed posts, they are live even with the engine off!
Good time to change the oxygen sensor while the car is half apart.

Can you reach this fuse or see it from the hood open view? The car is done, but the light came on constant now like something is completely undone, not just loose or itermitently failing like before.

Wish i would have known where the fuse was 3 months ago. I got nailed for $175 to fix it and the fuse was only $6. Stupid labor charges.
