There is a harness duct running along side the engine and the hot lead to the alternator is attached to the side of it. Watch out for the exposed posts, they are live even with the engine off! Good time to change the oxygen sensor while the car is half apart.

The car is done, but the light came on constant now like something is completely undone, not just loose or itermitently failing like before. don't drink and drive.
