OP Winger New CEG\'er W Joined: Oct 2002 Posts: 13	When I turn my steering wheel hard left or hard right I hear a noise like someting is hitting. I know it's not the power steering because it's not a whining sound being made. I'm not very mechanically gifted so when I got under the car and looked at the front end nothing looked wrong. So I need help with diagnosing the problem when turning.

If it didnt do that, then I would be worried about the rack going too far and falling apart. FWIW mine has done that since 20 K miles, I know have 137,000 on it and no problems in the steering!
