Hey, my right rear suspension is making a creeking noise, almost like a bed when someone is... oh, nevermind. (That's about the only way to describe it) But anyway, it seems that every time I go over a bump, it does this. QUITE annoying.

What would cause this? Is it just the bushings, or am I looking a replacing the whole suspension??? FYI: My 'tour is a 2000 SVT, and it has 48,000 miles on it.

Thanks guys,
Bizest

Do you have an upgraded swaybar? It could be the bushings needing grease or you may have busted the brackets the sway bar attaches to on the cross member (I've done that 3 times already )

My car squeaked loudly until I fixed it this summer. It was the right rear suspension area also. I thought I sprayed every bushing with silicone lubricant. The noise was still there bc there is one bushing that is hard to see where the sway bar attaches near the wheel. Just spray some silicone on the bushings. It will probably do the trick. My dads 97 A4 made loud creeking noises from the bushings up front and silicone also did the trick.

those bushings are the end link bushings. i replaced mine with Performance Fords End links (Polyurethane bushings and real heavy duty). i still had squeaking badly! I just greased the polyurethane bracket bushings (that hold the sway bar in place) a few hours ago.

luckily i had the newer brackets with teh grease fitting built in. no more squeaking!!

GR8SVT~
What kind of grease did you use? Where did you get the greaser? I have the newer sway bar brackets from Terry and I'm in dire need to lube them up. Is there different sizes of greaser nozles or a universal size. Thanks.

more than likely it's your rear swaybar bushings. i got under my car at the end of the summer and just wiggled everything I could. I found that the bushings on the end-links and the other bushings on my swaybar squeeked.
I also found that the parking brake cable (the mounts, actually) sqeaked, too. Check those out as well.
