My auto tranny on my 95 duratec recently started to shift just like a shift kit had been installed.It even would chirp between the gears this scared me because I thought that the tranny was on the way out however after checking the check engine light I found that the vehicle speed sensor was the culprit. I have cleaned the plug and put it back together and it worked fine but I must admit that the chirp was very nice to have so being the speed demon that I am, should I go pay for a shift kit or can I just continue with leaving the vehicle speed sensor unpluged. This really is a awesome way of getting your auto trannee to chirp like a shift kit without the expense.
