I just wanted to thank you guys for helping me with this whole battery issue. I recently discovered a new battery that I liked. The new Lightning Audio Purple Top Deep Cycle. I bought it and brought it home, but it's too tall. The hood wont shut. Just wanted to give you guys a heads up on that one. I also have a question for those of you who have changed out your terminals. What did you do with those 6 wires going into that distribution plate that kinda hangs on the side of the battery? Thank you. You guys have been a big help already.

Yeah, my Red Top with the knukonceptz.com terminals and rings was a little too high on the ground side cause the hood slopes down that way. I loosened the black rubber stoppers to raise where the hood sits as much as possible and it's fine. Whenever I drive really fast, which is all the time, it does come really close and the other day I noticed a little tiny bump in the hood where the terminal screw (highest point) had pushed it up. I'm going to stick a small piece of rubber on the inside of the hood for now, until I have time to remove the battery and cut out the bottom of the battery box to drop it a little more.
