Hi, I have a duratec and I am getting a bad mileage about 20-21 mpg with normal driving half in city and half in highway,
I have just changed both upstream O2 sensors and the mileage increased a little but not so much,
What can I do to improve it?,

Any ideas welcome,

Tnx

Maybe a treatment of Techron or something like that.

Also, quit driving so damn fast!

I was disappointed to find that I only pulled 25MPG on a freeway only trip in cruise control. I was going about 75-78MPH the whole tank of gas with no stops. I dropped in some Chevron fuel system cleaner for the trip back, and I drove it like a madman to make sure those secondaries got clean...only got 18MPG on the way back! Any help would be appreciated...she used to get almost 30MPG.

75-78MPH is not a real efficient speed either. There is a reason the speed limit was 55MPH not so long ago.

I just put in Techron. MPG is going down. I think it will improve once the Techron works through the system. Looking for improvement on next fill up.

Did you change the PLUGS

I found the front ones need changing early 0.70 on front bank after 56,000 miles !!!!

Just do the front if your mileage is similar

The rears were OK 0.63 !!!!

Never changed the plugs, I just bought it like 4k miles ago and I do not know if the previous owners changed them, actually the last saturday I check one to see if there was any damage and they looked fine but with a very thin electrode, I'll try double platinum ... maybe this weekend.

Any other ideas??

Tire pressure can affect mileage.

I second the plugs. My mpg jumped after I reinstalled stock Autolites after having Bosch +4s for 20k+ miles.
