First off... Merry christmas. Now to my problem. I just got some new ski racks. I go to open my door with my keyless entry and the drivers door wont open. This has happened in the past but stopped. All the other doors unlock but the drivers door makes a sound like its working but goes click click click nd goes back into the locked position and doesnt unlock. By the way i hate the electric door locks on the tours. I think they are very poorly designed. But anyway, has anyone else ran into this problem. do I need to replace the door lock mechenism in that door. If so I'd rather not go to the dealer becuase I work on cars myself at Curcuit city so I can do it myself, but I need to know the part I need to replace. If anyone else has had this problem and has fixed it...what is the part number. Any help would be great. Thanks.

You have water that has frozen within the door panel/ electric mech of the door lock.Get in the car and start it,turn heat to max, when it warms up the door will open.Need to have the door panels removed, the mech dried out and losts of Si grease...

I had this problem with my right front door last year. My solution is to not use that door since I rarely haul people around anyway.

This year though, I had another problem similar to this. My left rear door can't lock itself without me pushing on the lock. And that had happened at any temperature so frozen water could not have been the cause. I sprayed some Tri-Flow (it's basically WD-40 with Teflon) at the locking mechanism and after a few days, the problem went away. It has not had the same problem for a few weeks now. *knock on wood*
