Just yesterday I had my car up on a lift and I saw how my exhaust piping was routed to the back of the car. It wasn't bad until I saw 2 90 degree turns in the exhaust piping. I know at these two points in the exhaust tract, there is a build up of backpressure. The reason for posting this is to ask onwers of I-4 tours w/ a performance exhaust systems this: 1)If you bought one of the exhaust systems from a company(BAT,Performance Fords, etc.)or made a custom system, did you or the system address this problem or did it just follow the OEM exhaust route?
Officer, I wasn't speeding. I was qualifying.

Thanks to the fuel tank, there is really no other way to route the exhaust. Any good exhaust shop or custom exhaust should be mandrel bent, as opposed to crush bent. That will help considerably. I wouldn't worry too much about the bends building back pressure. The pressure coming through is so much greater than the back pressure caused by those bends that it really isn't an issue. If you can find a better route, don't hesitate to share!

side pipes would be hard to do, would have to be in front of wheels due to gas tank, but then the fuel filter and lines get in the way, maybe like some drag cars have it right behind the front wheels.

Exiting where the jack point covers are on SVT skirts...that would be excellent.

Great idea. Just round the holes to fit the exhaust tips.

But if you had to jack up the back to fix a flat tire you'd be screwed.

Yeah there isn't much that can be done. I spent about an hour with the local exhaust shop tying to figure an economical and legal way to do a better job. For 180 bucks I got 2.25" mandrel bent piping from a new, larger flexpipe (from an Eclipse I think) back to a FlowMaster muffler. The two bends were softened from 90 degrees to aout 80 degrees or so (thats an eyeball approximization).
