Locating the OBDII plug on a '97 Contour

I am trying to read the codes for my CEL. Unfortunatly, the counter twerp at Autozone could not find the plug in the car or under the hood. The only photo I've seen for this thing's location is only applicable to the other CEL style.

My have an OBDII cable and the PDA to check it myself but I need help locating the plug in the car. Any descriptions of the plug's location would be much appreciated.

Look right there wehre the hood release is at, up under the dash and you see a big plug in, that's where the computer plugs in at...

Excellent. Yeah I see it.

Is it possible that I have the wrong cable. This cable worked for a Subaru WRX and the tongs in the cable do not appear to match up with what appears to be the plugs in the car.
