Just started experiencing a weird problem with my 98.5 SE. While driving my wheels I often hear a loud weird noise coming from the engine. This tends to happen more often when I first start the car but can sometimes be heard at later times aswell. Just curious to know if anyone has experienced this problem and if so, what steps were taken to solve the problem. Thanks any response is greatly appreciated.

i cant awnser that but i think a better explination/location of the noise would help those who can awnser "weird noise" dosnt always help......im not trying to be an a$$ just preventing some1 else from reaming you

Maybe it is the same I get: is it like a really low humming noise? Mine does that, specially when the car is in traffic, but if I accelerate it doesnt go away. I just hums for like 30 seconds and then stops.

Could you guys be talking about the Moose? It tends to come out when the weather cools. You can read more detail about it in the FAQ.

Look under Throttle Hang Fix. Did you just add an open element filter of some kind?

Sounds like the Moose is loose. Do a forum search on Moose or Moosing.
