I used a high strength hot glue to attatch my dead pedal in my cougar.
You could also use a strong double sided tape or use rivits into a piece of sheet metal placed behind the carpet of your vehicle.

I used a piece of flat aluminum to secure a dead pedal to in a friends car and used some nice stainless steel rivits for that clean look.

the rear ones look the best, you can't just do the back though and not front, if only i had more money.

Here are pics of the same mats in a Cougar.

I've made over 100 sets in the last year and these really look good in modified cars at shows as they accent the interior nicely and also reflect alot of light.

These are not aimed toward a comuter car or daily use. These are aimed to the guys that modify their cars and like to add some style to their interior. Really compliments painted interiors, racing seats, aftermarket door sills, etc

I guess you could put your old floor mats over them to avoid scratching. I would only show them at special events. Craig, I apoligize for being so critical of your work, those mirrors look great!! Any chance you will make any more? I just spent all of my money on my cf front splitter, and hood.
