Tom, glad that you are OK. Until you actually get the car examined, don't worry about it being totalled. If you need any help with auto body shops, let me know ASAP.

If you are forced to give the Tour up, I hope you replace it with another one...

I will quote you on it anyways... and say not always... my friend nick's brother has a 99 contour with a Zetec in it and he wrapped it around a tree and they fixed the B piller and the frame too and a number of other things on it it was close to being totaled but it wasn't it's a 99 and the accident was in 2000... BTW he will be at our meet on the 3rd at my place. and you can see that the car doesn't even look like it has been in a accident.

Yeppers, 4 days after I bought mine a Taxi rammed into my car right on the side. Over $6,000.00 in damage. They fixed it, took 'em 3 months but they fixed it.

I took it to Elmhurst Ford, they deal direct with State Farm. If I hit a pole or something, then I would have avoided making a claim.

Anyway, they will call me today with an estimate. They will get used door shells, but we'll see if the B post is tooo $$ to fix.

There's a good chance it's not totaled since it's 2 yrs old.

That sucks Tom. Damn those 80's cavaliers they are the smallest tanks on the road. I hope it all works out in your favor.

tell them you dont want used doors... wouild u rather keep the car or get another?

Estimate is $4181, Car isn't totaled, that's the main thing. I plan to keep car until 60-75K miles. I now have 40K.

I don't care about used doors, as long as they're original Ford and not imitations from Timbuktu.

They will replace the B piller and rocker panels. Most it could run if they find more damage on the rear is $4600.
I'm even getting a new "SE" tag.

These doors were missmatched paint anyway from rental firm, so at least it will look better. (I hope)
