If mold costs are high, than I say we forget about the Mondeo for now. SVT Contours would be the best sellers. It would be much better to have a die cast for our own cars. Not too many people in North America have a Mondeo. SVT all the way. I would order about 10 and sell a few to my friends and keep 4 for myself. This die cast has to be made. My hopes are up so high! Please!!!!!!!!!!!!

i am probably going to be flamed on this, but, i cannot see this happening. i am a scale modeler and i know the costs involved in bringing a new kit to the market. a new tooling will run anywhere from $500,000 to $750,000 to complete. that may be more for diecast. then there is the added cost of licensing. we are a niche group. i am not sure the numbers are there to justify the costs involved. go to the exact detail replica website and see how many versions of each car there is. plastic kits are no different, they all pretty much have at least 2 versions of the same basic tooling. Mark stated earlier that they could do several differant versions ( eo, e1, mirko, ppg, colors, etc.). would they ALL sell? say they sell for $80-100.00, in all honesty how many would you REALLY buy? lets face it detail costs money, there is a lot of r & d involved. are the numbers there to make it profitable for exact detail replicas? please don't get me wrong i would try to be the first in line to grab one, i am just being a realist here.

Considering I know how much the tooling for our cars costs and how many would have to sell to justify doing a series of these cars... I honestly feel that we could sell the amount needed, but the ED production manger's & my own opinions are both different from the company exec's who have the final say. If people are sincerely interested in this they need to go over to the exact detail forum and post!

Hey.

Count me in. Silver E1 w/spoiler...I'll take two...one for the office at home, the other for the office at work. Don't care if they cost a few bucks, so long as they are correctly detailed.

Can you offer the option of the rear child booster seats, like I have in mine? They add even more horsepower than ricer decals, unless you put the ricer decals on the booster seats...even MORE horsepower gain...there's an idea.

YEA.

By the way, can someone PLEASE get me that CARFAX on the Windstar (see General Forum)?
