Have a 98 Mystique 2.0 with auto. Only 17,500 miles, sat on the dealers lot for a couple of years. I have put about 12,000 on it in the last year or so. Commuting, 30 miles round trip, with some consistent stop and go.

So, once in a while I am now hearing a distinct moaning noise from the front as the car comes to a halt while braking. Stops well, no pull yet or anyting. Dosen't always do it and can't pin anything else down.

For the limited commute that I have (Compared to many in the Washington DC area.) is it early for the brakes to need attention.

I know on this little car that I ride the brakes a lot in traffic, as the auto has almost no holdback or engine braking so the car coasts easy. Also the auto tends to edge forward so I have to use the brake there.

Anyway, just want to know if this is anything any of you have esperienced. Want some info prior to going to the dealer, I am under warranty so no big deal.

Thanks
