I have searched through the forums and the archives to look for help on this problem, but I haven't found much.
My 1999 Contour's headlights look bad - the outer lens is scratched looking, dull, and ugly. I know that BAT sells new ones, but I hope to trade it in sometime in the next year or so (waiting on the revised WRX) I'd like to not have to buy new ones. Is there any way to improve the way the headlights look without buying new ones?
In one post I came across while searching, someone mentioned plastic polish. Anyone had luck with that?
Thanks for your help!

Toothpaste also works, not the gel kind. You can also try 2000 grit sandpaper, and wet sand the lenses. I havent tried the plastic polish, but I heard it works good.

Thanks for the advice guys! I think I will try the toothpaste first. Not only because I have it on hand, but also because I remember reading in Grassroots Motorsports recently that they used toothpaste to renew some old tail lights. I hadn't thought about using it on my headlights!! If that doesn't do it, I'll move on to something more serious!

Toothpaste will work for discoloration and minor scratches, if they're scratched up that bad, you might want to try wet snding.
