I am not dogging the Maxima by anymeans due to it sweet power, but that dyno sucks. The straps had to of melted because I don't see a 400+ hp car breaking those. Here in KC our local dyno we had a car max the dyno out at 1,200 hp without any problem. If the tires were spinning for ya on the dyno then you arent getting true hp readings. I just want to understand why the strap broke and why the tires were smoking. I have never seen 400 hp do that. My Mustang makes 450 hp and it was stirdy as hell on our dyno. It did get a little squirrely though.

the dyno did suck - we could not find any real reason that the strap broke besides just being its time.. because before me there was a transam with 508 at the wheels.. I know i wasnt overpowering a 1200hp dyno haha.. and I did not spin the tires while pulling on the dyno, the black and worn tires is from braking when the strap snapped and the car went sideways at 100mph , they broke the dyno, i clutched my car and it was still goin nuts, so i locked them up and brought it down - i know they say "dont brake on the dyno" - thats not the case when you'r goin sideways because of a broken straps..

I see now. Man that is scary to think. I am glad you brought the car to stop. Just so scary to imagine. I figured you were spinning the tires on the dyno. Now that would be impressive, but I was thinking man if you only put down 400 FWHP and smoked the tires they must have dropped the clutch and punched the gas. Very impressive car needless to say.
