This morning I get in my car and drive about 2 miles to work. About 3 hours later I get in my car to leave for a Dr. appt. and my car won't stay running. It will start but then just cuts off. I can keep it running if I hold the gas pedal down but as soon as I take my foot off it dies. After trying to start it and keep it running about 10 times, I finally just put it in first and take off. I drove about 25 yards and stop and everything is fine. Anyone know what the problem could be? Thanks for any help.

If it does it again, then get it checked out. It was just probably just a fluke, because my car does that once and a while, usually in the fall when it first starts getting cold.
So if it doesnt do it again dont worry about it.

But hey I'm lovin this weather, 45 degrees, sunny, no snow and the 17th of December.

Well, my car wouldn't start until after it'd been towed to the dealership, and they said they couldn't keep it running. Then they started pulling apart the manifold and said it was all carboned up. Could be something similar...some gunk came loose and had to make its way to an unobstructed section of intake. Sort of like clogged arteries that need cleaning out. Once it got decarboned, it was running fine.
