Well i am guessing this becuase of pervios posts i have been reading can some one explain this to me please and how i can fix this problem here is my problem....

While Driving on acceleration wit the foot all the way down 1 and second shift fine. but once i go in to 3rd gear i feel a power loss and i see the rpms drop back like 100-500 rpms from like 3000rpm - 2700. my guess is that it is shifting into 4th gear real quick. then after that i top end on forth at 110 or 112 around that then i feel the limiter kick in... my 3rd gear is not being used all the way someone please help.

You've got be kidding... 2700 RPM at WOT?? If you have your foot on the floor your tranny should shift around 6K RPM. The RPMs drop 1-2K on each shift, but NOT to 2700 RPM at WOT. The 100-150 RPM change your feeling is probably the torque converter lock up. Are you trying this with the OD turned off?

Doesn't sound like a TQ converter problem at all, sounds like a burned up 3rd and/or 4th gear clutch pack. If the converter were toast, you'd not build pressure and not move much at all in any gear.

Yep bnoon's probably right, you have a broken 3ird gear. I drove an Astro van for work and blew 2ond, 4th and Reverse out of it (ALL AT ONCE!!! ), but the computer was smart enough to skip the gears (I guess). It was a weired one to drive
