Just wondering ,I have two separate 10" subs, a kenwood db+ 1000 watt, and a sony explode 10". The kenwood is in a sealed box and the sony is in a bandpass. When I have them facing towards the back of the car with the back seats folded down, they hit hard as hell. Now why do I see people using boxes that are facing the speakers into the cabin of the car and I dont ever see any ports or anything. How do they get really hard hitting bass out of this combo? I'm Confused. Does the Dual Sub box sound better? Any info you have would be appreciated.

I have mine facing into the cabin mostly for aesthetic purposes, I am not looking for massive bass. Mine is sealed and both subs have a separate chamber. If I were you, I would concentrate on the Kenwood and ditch the Xplode. E-mail Kenwood and ask them what size and type of box is best for that particular woofer if you want lots of bass...that should get you started.
