Tim,

I'm located in S. City. Bought my Black '98+ SE Sport MTX last year from my roommate. (he wanted to buy a 2002 Taurus) He kept the Tour stock, now I'm ready to do the upgrades.

I'd like to be apart of the St. Louis CEG club. My Tour may not be up to show standards as it need a paint job very badly. The top and trunk lid are showing spider cracking. Also went through a mild hail storm couple of years ago, so when it's waxed you can see tiny dimples on the top and side.

I havn't done any performance upgrades. Just been concentrating on making it look like another car.
(not HIS) LOL

I've had McMann install a 4-point alarm system, I added factory mud flaps and cut the fronts for the ground effects. I then purchased vent visors, Sylvania Superwhites high and low beams, did the fog fix and reaimed them. Next came a steering wheel cover, de-dinged and painted the rear reflector (WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?), installed side markers from AutoZone, but have ordered LED sidemarkers. Also installed a hood shield last week.

The windshield decal arrived in the mail today and I think I ordered too much. The site didn't have sizes, so I ordered one for the front and one for the back. One of them is 24" X 60". I think one is enough for the front and back.

Well, I'll email you my pics, but I need to take some new ones.

honestly, most of our tours aren't up to "show standards" but we need to get your motor rodded out. I left my number so give me a call. We are going to try and meet on Sat. night, seeing as it's getting cold again. I am your local source for certain parts, and I am always willing to help mod and install, as long as it's not suspension related, I have Buckshot for that. Call me tomorrow, and we'll hook up this weekend. I have Lemas stuff tomorrow unitl around 6 pm but after that it's on. Hope to see you out there.

I COPIED THIS POST FROM ANOTHER FORUM:

Hey Ya'll,

Any one purchase one of these for their Contours? I've seen Contours with the full bra and the hood cover.

Here in St. L. there are alot of trucks on the highways and I think that the bra would not protect the windshield.

I also have the ventshades installed on the windows. So would this look too much or a great alternative to the bra?

How do I post a picture of it here?

P.S. I already ordered it, should be here by early next week.

TIM,

The hood shield is like a bug/rock deflector. It's shape reminds me of a bat wing. Because of the oval in front and the sweep back side of the hood around the frt lens covers.

It really looks great on my car. Cause my car is black and the shield is smoke color.

I'll upload some pic tomorrow after I install the new LED side markers. (they arrived today) I got over on them because the shiping costed them 4.70 more than what I paid them. CAN U SAY CANADA, AHHH?

These Erolites have a site listed as www.toucanindustries.com
THIS SITE DIDN'T HAVE A PIC OF THE LED SIDEMARKERS

They don't quite look like the pic I saw in the other post. I guess I'll have to wait to see how they look after the install.
